Ultimate UWC3 Beginner Tutorial
Ultimate Warcraft3 is a plugin or addon for Counter-Strike which adds a whole new layer of complexity and gameplay to the standard first person shooter. UWC3 is derived from Pimp-Daddy's Warcraft3 Frozen Throne plugin, all of the skills and abilities from War3FT are available in UWC3 but where War3FT is a race-based game UWC3 is a freeform version without any races.
Earning Experience (XP)
When you enter a server running UWC3 you will not be presented with any menus, you may not even realize at first that the game is any different from your normal CS game. This soon changes as your performance in the game starts to earn you experience (XP), and whenever you are awarded any XP a chat message will appear informing you of how much XP you earned. You are awarded experience for the following actions:
Killing or seriously injuring an enemy player which one of your teammate kills (you must have delivered the most damage to the enemy)
Performing CS based objectives such as planting the bomb, defusing the bomb, rescuing hostages, escaping as the VIP.
Using "team-aid" skills for the benefit of your team, such as healing a teammate's wounds or repairing armor for a teammate.
Enhancement Experience (E-XP)
Some servers running UWC3 will be running an addon called Enhancements, which provide an independent flow of experience called enhancement experience or E-XP. E-XP can be used to purchase enhancements to your character Attributes and build a defense system using Resistances. You will be presented with a menu each time you have earned enough E-XP to purchase an Attribute enhancement or a Resistance point, you can see details about these attributes and resistances on our enhancements page. A brief version of that info is available in game, say /help for a menu which has this info.
Strength
In UWC3 your strength attribute helps determine how much damage you can take in battle before being killed. Enhancing your strength will give you an increase in your base level of health.
Intellect
Your intellect is an important attribute that can help your success with various magic-based skills. Different levels of intellect affect different skills as follows:
Intellect 11) Increased success with Impale attacks
Intellect 12) Increased money siphoned with Siphon Mana
Intellect 13) Increased success with Banish
Intellect 14) Increased success with Hex
Intellect 15) Increased success with Bash
Intellect 16) Improved damage with Trueshot attacks
Intellect 17) Adds 2 serpent wards to your arsenal and decreases refresh time for Teleport
Intellect 18) Enhances Big Bad Voodoo to last for 4 seconds
These bonuses are additive, so at levels 18 all of the bonuses are in effect.
Dexterity
Enhancing your Dexterity will give you an improved chance of using your Evasion skills to avoid taking weapons damage. Mastering Evasion and maximiizing your Dexterity can provide a noticable aid in combat.
Agility
Is speed your thing? Enhancing your Agility will provide an increase in your base level runspeed which stacks with Unholy Aura based increases. A master in Unholy Aura with maximum Agility will be a blur on your screen.
Constitution
Your Constitution determines your body's ability to bounce back after taking damage. Enhancing your constitution will allow you to slowly heal when damage is inflicted. Constitution-based regeneration stacks with Healing Wave.
Training SkillsWhen you have earned enough XP you will hear an audible indicator and a message that you have raised a level. In addition the Skills selection menu will appear on your screen with the first page of skills, some of which are highlighted (the skills you are able to train at level 1) and the others are not. Any skills listed which are not yet trainable display the level needed for you to be able to train the skill. You can return to the skills selection at any time to examine all of the available skills by saying /selectskill. You can also examine the skills and their descriptions.
Abilities and Ultimate Abilities:
Eventually as you rise higher in level you will come across skills which only have 1 trainable level. These are called Abilities and some of these abilities are known as Ultimate Abilities (there are some exceptions to this rule but generally speaking abilities have 1 trainable level). Where many skills are passive (meaning they work for you automatically) most abilities are not, you must issue a command to use them, each ability has a unique command.
Commands can be typed into your console or bound to keys so one touch of a key can use the ability you have that key bound to, this is of course the preferred method. For an example, Flash of Light is an ultimate ability that will temporarily blind your enemy (similar to a flashbang) and its unique command is wcflash. To bind a key to this command you would go into your console (use the `~ key to access the console) and type: bind key wcflash. For example bind c wcflash. From that point on hitting the c key will cause Flash of Light to go into action.
There are a limited number of keys available on your keyboard that are not already being used, so think carefully about the Ultimates and abilities you train and how you will be able to effeciently access them. Some Ultimate abilities are passive, such as Vengeance which will restore you to life one time in each round when you are killed, it is used for you automatically (you do not issue a command to use it).
Another exception is the Suicide Bomber Ultimate which can be used passively or triggered with the wcsuicide command. In the skills selection menu any abilities or ultimates which have a command associated will display the name of the command in the skills menu alongside it.

Magic Items - Shopmenu and Shopmenu2:
What magic-based plugin would be complete without the opportunity to purchase and use magical items? Ultimate Warcraft3 inherits the shopmenu and shopmenu2 from Warcraft3FT, including all of the items available at the time that War3FT version 1.6.4 was released. You can see descriptions in game of these items by saying itemsinfo and itemsinfo2.
The one item I will make note of here because of its importance is the Necklace of Immunity, which costs the player $800 to purchase (from shopmenu) and will protect the player from all Ultimate abilities and some other ones as well (such as napalm grenades and serpant wards).
If you find yourself with $800 after buying your gear at the start of a round you should highly consider purchasing a Necklace.
NOTE: Maxing out your Magic Resistance is the same thing as constantly wearing a necklace - but has some other added bonuses as well.
Resistances
Resistances allow you to recieve lses damage when affected, and gives you a higher chance of completely deflecting the attack recieving no damage.
- Poison Resistance
Enhancing your poison resistance will give your body an added chance of avoiding poison-based attacks, maximizing your poison resistance will mean never seeing your life slip away after a Shadow Strike.
- Disease Resistance
Enhancing your disease resistance will give your body an added chance of avoiding disease-based attacks, such as Carrion Beetles and Locust Swarm. Maximizing your resistance to disease will allow you to never worry about these two attacks.
- Electricity Resistance
Tired of being blasted by a lightning bolt from your enemies? Enhancing your resistance to electricity will add the ability for your body to absorb damage from Chain Lightning attacks.
- Fire Resistance
Two of the more heinous ways to die in UWC3 are from flamethrower and napalm grenade attacks, which keep causing you burn damage until you drop dead. Enhancing your fire resistance provides two levels of protection, allowing a chance for you to avoid burn damage outright, or if you miss that chance providing a last-ditch chance for you to at least slow down the burning so you can seek help from a medic.
- Magic Resistance
Your character's magic resistance can help protect against a variety of special magic-based attacks, many of these are covered by the Necklace of Immunity. Working to enhance your magical resistance may allow you to forego purchasing a Necklace leaving other items available for your first item slot.

Binding Keys
With all the questions out there on how to do this, or that, I figured I would post a small tutorial on how to do this.
First, some terminology:
Console
Console is a utility and command line interface that is brought up by pressing the tilde key (~). On most keyboards this key is directly under the escape key and above tab.
Bind
setting a specific key to a specific action so that when you press the key during game play that event occurs. Binding can be done for the standard keys from the standard menus, but for the mod specific stuff, you will need to bind from console. All bind commands are in the format of: bind key command
(Note: no quotes or punctuation)
Multi Key Binding It is possible to bind multiple commands to a single button - for example you can bind wcmend, wcrepair, wcdispell all to one key, you can dispell the hex and repair the wounds and repiar the armor of a team mate all at once. if they dont have all of those ailments, it will only do the one(s) that are affecting them.
You could also bind multiple combinations of ultimates -such as Flash of light, entangle roots and chain lightning as an example.
You can multi bind as many items to one key as you like, but be carefull once you do, often times its quite hard to fix the original keys that items were bound to if you overwrite them.
Ecah command needs to be seperated by a semi-colin, and the entire command list needs to be encased in quotes. Spacing doesnt matter.
Syntax:
bind key "command1;command2"
(Note: Quotes and Punctuation REQUIRED)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are the Items that you can bind. I will only tell you the name of the item, and then the command to bind. I am assuming that you have read the above portion explaining how to bind. Anything after the -> is the part to put in the "command" location.
Shopmenus- shop menu 1-> shopmenu
- shop menu 2 -> shopmenu2
Skills- Mend Wounds -> wcmend
- Repair Armor -> wcrepair
- Dispell Hex -> wcdispell
- Gate -> wcgate
- Teleport -> wcteleport
- Entangle Roots -> wcentangle
- Chain Lightning ->wclightning
- Serpent Ward -> wcward
- Flash of Light -> wcflash
- Locust Swarm -> wclocust
- Decoy -> wcdecoy
- Big bad Voodoo -> wcvoodoo
- Flame Strike -> wcflame
- Suicide Bomber -> wcsuicide
In Conclusion:
Ultimate Warcraft3 provides a wide assortment of features that enhance CS gameplay and we hope that you find the plugin enjoyable.
